Ok, I dropped Lubuntu. It was probably the most weird little distro I have ever tried to get along with. Although I really hate Unity, I still like Ubuntu a lot. And with the 5 year LTS on 12.04, it's tempting to stick with Ubuntu. And so I will. Just installed Kubuntu, an Ubuntu distro with KDE desktop.
I was really surprised! This one is just as light as the "light" distros (Xubuntu, Lubuntu etc) but IT WORKS!! Completely hazzle free, even with my strange Nvidia graphics card. No need to install the Nvidia drivers and taking the risk of getting the "6 desktop screen" again. It works, its smooth and fast...and it's really beautiful. No need to get a Mac either...that would be a downgrade for me right now in so many aspects.
Get Kubuntu and try it yourself!

Being a little sick and tired of Ubuntu and it's tablet like Unity desktop, I went back to 10.04. I wont get far of course, as it is only supported until April next year. It's nice to see that there actually are good alternatives.
I have now switched to Lubuntu (12.04). We'll see if I run into any interesting problems or solutions, and if so - I'll post something.

Today my wife recieved a spam. A real spam. Written on paper, in an envelope, picked up from our physical mailbox outside our house. Now, how cool is that!? The spammer had no idea that the reciever is married to an IT security specialist. On the other hand, I dont have any spam filters on our physical mailbox. Who's got who? I have added the Web Analyzer login to arbi.se, on the right side. Since arbisec.com will soon be closed down, I believe arbi.se could be the new home for it. As before there are two account types – free and commercial. I hope I will get the time to setup some account request functionality soon…

I have decided to sell my domain arbisec.com, including all it's cloud services. This means, the buyer will acquire the domain name, most of the website content and the source code for our cloud services Arbisec Web Analyzer and Arbisec Sitescanner.
This is not a happy moment. But running a small firm on free time can put a lot of pressure on one person. I still believe a lot in my services, especially Arbisec Sitescanner which provides far more security than McAffee or any other product. For less buck!
I really hope that anyone will carry on with these services, as Arbi Consulting will focus more on website development and promotion within the Swedish market.
The domain is sold at Flippa. Please view the auction, and place a bid if interested.

Best whishes,
Ola Löfvén
